Moroccan-spiced Chicken...No rice?

What if I want to make this recipe without the rice? What adjustments do you think it would need if any?

The water is added only to provide liquid for cooking the rice, so if you omit that, then eliminating the water is about the only adaption I can see you would need to make. You might want to keep an eye on the dish as it cooks though, so your other ingredients don't sizzle and burn in the chicken fat and oil. You will also want to turn your chicken part way through cooking, so you gets evenly done.

Thank you so much! i added about 1/3 c water...just so it wouldn't burn. So, I served it with pasta and omitted the dates as well. This is one of the best recipes ever - if not THE best! My husband couldn't stop saying how excellent it was! We love the harissa. Can't wait to make it again! Thank you!!!
