Ina Garten’s Beatty’s chocolate cake is great but I find the frosting very sweet. I used 60% bittersweet chocolates with 1-1/4 cup confectioner sugar. Can I simply cut back on the sugar or uses unsweetened chocolate?

I would try a less sweet chocolate (like 80% cacao) or unsweetened chocolate, rather than cutting back on the added sugar, because that may change the texture.
