Yes, fruit and nut quick breads often do crumble when sliced. There are a couple of things you can do. First, make sure the nuts are chopped into fairly small bits before adding. Larger nut pieces tend to pull away when you slice, which makes crumbling worse.
Also, chill the cranberry nut bread before slicing - and use a very sharp knife, with a slow careful motion. I hope this helps reduce the crumbling. ;o)
