is it ok to bake on parchment paper?

Do you have to bake them on aluminum foil? Can you use parchment paper??

I bake cookies of all kinds (& pork Wellington & bread etc...) on parchment paper. It works very well. Parchment paper can be used multiple times. It also makes removal from the pan a cinch. They just slide off.
