Looking at a cookie recipe in my Joy Joy if Cooking bookend it referenced 1001. Cannot figure out what that means. HELP!

Thank you.This is correct. I looked at several recipes requiring chopped nuts. It is a page reference. Feeling stupid!!! Thanks so much. ...doing all the things.

No feeling stupid allowed. When you are trying to prepare for the great holiday feast, sometimes thoughts and ideas have a way of clogging the system temporarily. It took me a minute to remember as well. Glad to be of help, and Happy Holidays!

I am assuming you refer to the Joy of Cooking cookbook? There are several editions out there, so it might be more helpful to know which you have to be able to provide more help. However, I know from using mine that sometimes a recipe will include a number after an ingredient- which refers to a page number with the recipe for that particular ingredient. It may also be referring you to a page with additional explanations for something, like choosing to use parchment paper or a silicone sheet.
