I am so grossly disappointed in Food52. How can they see all of the same negative feedback and continue to do nothing about it. I had an order that got processed by complete accident on a shopping cart full of Le Creuset … over $750 worth. I tried to stop the order immediately, within 30-40 seconds and they insisted that it was impossible to stop it from processing. It’s BS - I have managed warehouse teams. You can absolutely stop an order. Instead, they chose to ship 120 lbs worth of product, only to have me lug it all back to the store and then nothing. Almost a month has gone by and I know they have received the return yet crickets on their end. Food52 has ghosted me and they are hanging on to my dollars as if they know they already lost me as a customer.
Total conjecture, but perhaps their strategy is that by shipping me the products (and because I should know that returns are a nightmare with them), that it would be better for me to hang on to the order and they get the sale to avoid the hassle? Seems so shady …
I want to love F52. I love the products they carry but I don’t want to be treated like this as a consumer. There are too many options for me not to find a better, more suitable alternative. Reading these reviews was my final straw.
Don’t order anything from Food52. They are quick to charge your card but hopelessly slow to ship the products and impossible to contact by email and no phone. You can find their products elsewhere. Don’t buy them from Food52.
I bought a le creuset oval pot for my grandson for Christmas. They received a pot that is nothing like the one ordered. I have tried to get food52 to respond to my problem because Le Creuset says they can’t do anything because this is Food52 problem even though Le Creuset admits that they have the order correctly and that the warehouse messed up. I am frustrated with both companies and have written the better business bureau about them..
I am close to being a former customer myself. I have sent multiple emails and just get canned responses to the wrong questions. Food52 canceled an order (some extra flatware sets) with no explanation. On their website I see the item's status is backordered. Food52 did not tell me this nor did they offer to honor the sale price for these items when they come back in stock. But the biggest issue is I happened to have one other item in my cart and that one is still 'pending'. It has still never shipped but cannot be canceled because of their 'policy' And because this single item is now well under their free shipping threshold they are charging me $15 dollars shipping and will not remove that charge from my invoice. I can't cancel the order (because it is impossible even though it has not shipped?) and I can't get them to remove the shipping fee that is their fault since they removed the large number of items (due to backorder?) One email said to just wait until the single item arrives and return it with a label they will send me? But that will not resolve the shipping charge I will have already paid? I will not deal with them ever again. Sending emails and waiting 24 hours to get answers to misunderstood questions is driving me round the bend!
Yet another frustrated customer here (well, just about ex-customer). I sent three emails regarding return of an item that was erroneously described on their website. While I received three responses, none of them answered the question/request I made, which was to receive a full refund for my return, including shipping, given the error was made on their end. This experience will make me pause before ordering from them in the future. This is unfortunate since I love their products.
I've written them twice about a pending order to get a status - no response both times. Today I see the order was simply canceled despite the fact I never canceled it (and the site says shows it's still available). I sent in a THIRD email today asking what's going on, but I'm not hopeful I'll get a response. Really poor customer service and no communication on something ordered weeks ago.
Food 52 customer service is just about non existent, they don't reply to emails , they don't really care about customer satisfaction or loyalty. I will no longer do business with them , have a had a nightmare using the the past two weeks
Dealing with their customer service is an absolute nightmare. There is no telephone number, which is extremely important if you’re frustrated and already have tried multiple times to contact them via email. If you reply to any of the emails they email you, the emails are kicked back. You are forced to only communicate through their website. My order was canceled because they said the item wasn’t available, but within 24 hours the item was available for purchase on their website. I can’t get in touch with them to honor my original purchase price. This impossible access to any type of customer service makes me never want to shop with them again. Due to their extremely limited access to any type of help (if an option at all), I would not recommend this company.
I have been trying to return some items for a while now. And although they have been responding they just keep telling me they are having trouble with the return and are working on it. I really would like the return to happen sooner rather than later so I can get my refund. But I prob have 5 emails saying they are working on it…/it can’t be that hard!!! I have 3 sets of unopened flatware and two sets of unopened plates etc….what is the big hold up. I’m within the return window and they said I can return but they are working on it?????
