Can you add different pizza toppings to the mix?

Growing up, there was an Italian bakery down the street that made a Pizza Swirl Bread with pepperoni in it. I'm wondering if anyone has added pepperoni or other toppings and if it has made the bread greasy?

You could definitely add other toppings! I’d recommend keeping inclusions like onions or peppers chopped fairly small - and you could definitely layer in some pepperoni without issue!
