What is the recipe?

Since cane syrup is composed of sugar cane and beet sugar, a light corn syrup can be used or a light molasses. Lyle's Golden Syrup is a tasty substitute.

Thank you for your answer. Recipe was for a pear tart. I was making it last night and used maple syrup because that is what I had on hand and it turned out well.

Anne, that's good to know. Thanks for reporting back! (And thanks, HP, for your answer. I was wondering about that . . . . ) ;o)
