Tahini and halva salmonella alert

Week of October 12, 2021 there was a salmonella alert in USA and Canada for tahini and halva made from sesame grown in Syria.
This is in addition to a pesticide warning ongoing since September 2020 on products from India-grown sesame, many sold in Europe.
Please check the products you buy for country of origin.
