THIS PRODUCT IS NOT WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU PLACE ORDER
Garden Jar Herb Kit (Set of 2) - THEY SPECIFICALLY SHOW A PICTURE OF 3 JARS WITH A PRICE OF $44 - BUT WAIT, THAT IS ONLY FOR 2 JARS AND YOU ACTUALLY CANNOT PURCHASE 3 JARS - YOU NOW HAVE TO BUY 4 JARS FOR A PRICE OF $88. THE PICTURE IS NOT WHAT YOU GET AND IT MY LITTLE MIND OF MINDS THAT IS DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. MY OPINION ONLY. JUST SAYING BE CARE FULFUL WHAT YOU BUY BECAUSE WHAT YOU SEE MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU GET.

I believe the OP is unhappy that Food52 decided to confusingly show three of the four available herb pots rather than specific product photos that cover exactly what each SKU offers (each SKU offers one basil pot and one other pot with a different herb).
The main group photo only shows three of the four herbs (blue: cilantro; gold: basil; silver: mint). There is another herb missing from the group photo (orange: parsley).
OP's point is what you see is NOT what you get. None of the five photographs illustrates an actual SKU.
We all have seen group photos that show the range of options (forms, sizes, colors, whatever). That's not the issue.
The problem here is that Food52's e-commerce storefront doesn't always reflect what the selected SKU represents.
Let's say you are shopping for swimsuit combo and you hypothetically want a bikini in with a bubblegum pink full coverage underwire top and a lime green bottom with generous coverage. If you select that SKU and the product image stays on a ultramarine demi top and skimpy bottom, that doesn't reflect your selected SKU.
That's the essential problem here.
This is not specific to Food52 or even food sites. If you were shopping for smartphones and selected Champagne Gold as the product color, you'd expect the product image to switch to Champagne Gold reflecting what the shipment would deliver.
Now I don't run Food52's e-commerce operations but I feel that the OP's concerns are completely valid. It's 2021. Asking for a photo for the given SKU is not out of line.
