Hot chocolate- is there a benefit to making hot chocolate in ac ceramic pot verses stainless steel?

I can only think that ceramic is porous and can impart other flavors like coffee or tea. I'm more inclined to use stainless steel for this reason. But that's my preference ;)

Also, with stainless steel pot there is a greater choice of utensils...like metal balloon whisk.
