How does the frosting hold up?

There are only two of us, so it takes us 3-4 days to go through even a half batch cake. Will the frosting hold up for several days as long as it's refrigerated?

Yes, the frosting and cake can be refrigerated for 3 days and it should be fine. I prefer my cakes room temperature so I take it out an hour or two before I plan on eating it.

It should be ok— not as good as on the first day, obviously—but this strikes me as a special occasion cake— share it with friends!
