Hi-
Orange zest sugar recipe:
Zest of one orange
Two to three tablespoons of sugar
Mix together and sprinkle on cake.

Assume your proportions were for one cake.
Mine were for a batch that could be used for this cake and other things, kept in the fridge a few weeks.

Lots of recipes out there
Basic orange zest sugar.
Wash two (organic) oranges, zest, mix with 1c sugar.
Store in fridge up to 4 weeks.
Or, make candied orange zest, another possible garnish for the cake.
