Pasta Cooking Recipe Clarification

When it says, “3/4lb of hot cooked pasta,” is that a before cooking weight, or an after cooking weight?

Thanks so much!

It’s hard to know for sure, because that ingredient is written awkwardly.
Another way to decide is based on the number to serve.
As it says 3/4 lb, either way you measure the recipe will give each of 6 people about 2 oz., which is a moderate serving.
But since most people measure their pasta before cooking (and it’s easier to do that way), I would measure dry pasta. Then cook and serve

And, as dry pasta absorbs water and approximately doubles in volume when cooked, you’ll get more nutrition from 3/4 lb measured dry than from 3/4 lb measured cooked.
