The yogurt quantities/direction need clarification

Is the marinade only 1/4 cup yogurt (and remaining 3/4 cup yogurt for the plate) or is the marinade 1 cup and the ingredient list is missing the 3/4 cup for the plate

Another similar and reliable recipe for chicken with sumac and a yogurt marinade uses about 5 oz yogurt for 1.5 lb chicken (150 ml for 650g).
So about 3 oz yogurt for 1 lb chicken.

Above note was for the marinade.
Presumably rest of yogurt is for the salad.
