butter amount differs between ingredient list and instructions
The ingredient list calls for 1 cup/2 sticks of butter, but the steps only call for 6+2 tablespoons (1 stick). What's going on here?

There are many other versions of this famous recipe (Edna Lewis shrimp and grits), generally with lower amounts of butter, and allocated to cooking of shrimp and of grits.
I would go to one of them.
But/and Kristen Miglore or somebody on the Genius Recipe team may respond with more specific corrections to the difference in butter amounts.
