Can I use a Food processor or do I have to have a mixer?

Yes, bread dough in a food processor. Have done it and it works well. You may need to slightly alter your sequence of ingredients to take best advantage of its power and mixing ability. I've only had and used the basic metal S-shaped blade and it worked fine. In fact, America's Test Kitchen recommends using that over the plastic dough blade.
