HUMOUROUS COOKBOOK WRITING: WHO KNEW?

Chances are that i have been reading cookbooks for longer than you have been alive, but this is the first time i've read a cookbook by a literary talent and a humourous one at that. The book is 'Good Fish' and She is Becky Selengut. 'Ya gotta get it; very informative and beautiful well- thought out recipes. Pleese tell me if you've found other funny ones!

Make the Bread, Buy the Butter: What You Should (and Shouldn't) Cook from Scratch to Save Time and Money by Jennifer Reese. Sounds like a boring title, but the stories that accompany the recipes. Funny insights (Duck Pastrami anyone?) along with stories about her attempts to get back to the land, (goats were a grand experiment that didn't pay off). Haven't tried any of the recipes, but plan to.

Yup. I, too, like this one.

There are other cookbooks designed to be funny, mostly complaing about cooking while giving basic recipes, I find they age poorly….
