I used to make this and love it, but I am eliminating oats for a while because I think they might bother me---is there anything you could use instead?

I would suggest rye flakes, but then I saw you're GF... I think they make buckwheat flakes, though, might be worth tracking down!

Couldn’t think of or find in Substitution Bible a recommended replacement for oats.
You could play- if you don’t mind gluten - with whokeceheatvir bread flour
Or, as the psyllium seems key to the recipe, you could make one of the other tried and true recipes ffor loaves built on psyllium
many are GF, and have worked out the ratios of grains and moisture.

Thanks! I thought that might be the case. I have celiac disease, so cannot have any gluten, though.

Susan - ok, I guessed that. Have a look at some other psyllium based recipes - they have alternative flours like almond flour.
