Thank you for such a quick response!!! One more question, please forgive me, but, if using cherries, would you arrange cut side up or cut side down?

I think I would do a mix of both, or kind of add enough cherries so that it covers the bottom of the pan and give them a little toss and spread them around. That way it looks pretty and organic. But I think whatever way you do it it will look great!
