Clarifying salt usage for the recipe
Hi Emma, Eva here. Made this recipe and it was very good. But I wanted to clarify salt usage as I oversalted which I haven't done in a long time ;-(. I believe your directions are saying to use the same pot of water to boil both the kasha and buckwheat? My water was quite murky after boiling the kasha so I did not reuse that water for the pasta. I reboiled new water for the pasta and salted, again so oversalted. What was a bit confusing was the video seemed to show the pasta boiling in clean water so did you in the video reuse the water?
The recipe also states 3 tablespoons kosher salt, where 1.5 gets used in the boiling of kasha/pasta. When are you using the rest of the salt?
