Absence of Pepper flavor, the bite
Hi there! Just made this, literally cooling as I type this out. So far I can taste an elegant marriage between the cinnamon and brandy; however the peppercorns are absent. My question is, should this sauce have even slightest bite from the peppercorns, or is the sauce only to embrace its floral nature? If it is to have a bite, should I add a little white pepper, and if so, how much? Thank you!

I haven't made this recipe but after reading I do think that the peppercorns will likely not be a super assertive part of this sauce's flavor profile with only 8 of them. I think adding white pepper (or even super floral pink or green peppercorns) would absolutely add that kick you're looking for.
Hope this helps!
