Confused on a recipe instruction

One pound equal parts ( beef, pork, veal)
What does this mean?
One pound of each or five and a half ounces of each to equal a pound?

It means one lb total meat.
So usually when that’s the instruction, it’s for variety of taste and maybe fat levels.

If you can’t get all three, you could use two or one as long as the total weight is one lb.

(And the recipe will taste a bit different.)
