I have a question about the recipe "South Indian Sundal (Chickpea salad)" from AshaFSK. What is dessicated coconut?

dessicated = dried. you will want the unsweetened dried/flaked coconut.
I normally use the fresh frozen shredded coconut for Sundals, but in keeping with the instructions in the recipe, you're probably better off getting the dried variety. Dessicated coconut should be available in Indian grocery stores.
Fun to say, delicious to eat.
