Cooking sprouted beans

found a package of sprouted adzuki beans. Receipe said because they were sprouted cooking time was cut in half. , to soak warm water for 30 min then cook for 35 min or to taste. After 35 they seemed hard, another 15, then another 15. and still i wonder...so the questions are were the instructions on package wrong, is my idea of having them soft wrong, or ...

It could be your water. Hard high lime content water won't soften beans correctly.
Add 1/4 tsp of baking soda to the water if you have hard water.
