I'm at friends' vacation home and they don't have a muffin tin, but rather have individual silicone muffin cups. Will those work sufficiently...

Please don't go into town unless it is part of your vacation! The individual muffin cups will work fine. That is part of being on vacation - improvising! Have fun!
