It seems like I should know the answer to this, but I honestly don't. If I am going to bake pears, do they need to be fully ripe? It seems if they were fully ripe they would kind of dissolve. Thank you in advance for the answers!

In my experience its best to bake pears that are ripe but firm, They tend to become very soft. I like bosc or comice for baking others I am sure are good also but those are my preference.
