The books & the Oxo gifts arrived 2 days ahead, but no sign of any package from Lot 18 & my party is ready to begin!, I guess at this time its moot)

I hope I didn't forget anyone or anything. We had a really good time and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. The wine was terrific, the oxo gifts were wonderful. It was a great day. Also Bevi made Jennifer Perillo's tomato jam and everyone got a jar and her daughter Eva brought some of her amazing jam for everyone. I had a drawing for 3 of the signed cookbooks so 3 lucky cooks got one. Wow, hope I included everything it was a wonderful day.

I scrambled to light up the place with tealights & candles (which the children loved puffing out right behind me!, it bacame a game!) and a warm cozy fire lit up.
Fabulous set of dishes, (with 2 guests bringing in Rivka's mujaddara), machef's rosemary thyme pita chips, Ashafsk's recipe for South Indian Sundal, Pauljosephs tamatar Biriyani, Arielle clementines Polenta with goat cheese & caramelized onions was a total winner dish as was lizthechef's revenge of the pear crisp and red quinoa tabouleh by chefpandita (Nita misunderstood the number of guests as 14 couples (instead of 14 adults) & brought in a HUGE tray of this & it still got finished up, Delicious!)
I paired Perennial plates potato pave terrine with a roasted tomato sauce which I extended from amanda's recipe for roasted cherry tomatoes (which in its original avatar, was paired with mozzarella & basil).
Goodybags with ancho chile connamon chocolate bark (I cd have scarfed the whole thing myself, it was awesome), Merrils cream cheese cookies, and my coconut sesame shortbread.
14 adults, 10 children and a FABULOUS unforgettable afternoon! Thanks so much Amanda & merrill for the lovely books (my guest got the signed ones, Now I definitely have to make it to the sur la table events to get my copy signed!)
I had stocked up on wine the previous day.. (i kind of felt delicate sending a reminder, the party would have happened anyways, the privilege was mine!).
