What to serve with cornbread...not chili?

I made cornbread and chilli for dinner last night, any interesting ideas for what to make tonight for dinner that will pair with the leftover cornbread?

You could also freeze it and use it for cornbread stuffing for Thanksgiving!

You could make a savory cornbread bread pudding- a little custard, some caramelized onions, some cheese. For that matter, you could use it to make a sweetened bread pudding too.

Cornbread is also great in panzanella. At this time of year, maybe one with radicchio or escarole, goat cheese, olives, and roasted onions and fennel?

You can make a savory bread pudding out of it and the panade is a similarly good idea. I made one like this not long ago. http://www.recipesource.com/main-dishes/eggs/00/rec0016.html

I know you asked for something other than chili--but do check out wssmom's bowl of red...a great chili recipe.

We like ham and beans with cornbread...http://www.food52.com/recipes...

I wonder if you could do something like this: http://www.food52.com/recipes... using the cornbread instead of the ciabatta.

It's also great with a Cuban black bean soup (Cuban because it contains rum and has chopped hardboiled egg on top).

I had initially thought maybe a chowder, but now ribs are calling my name...;)

Ribs, collard greens, and cornbread sounds like a great dinner to me.

Oh all sorts of things! Anything that has gravy to slop it in, or say a roasted chicken, warm cornbread and honey, and a salad. A big pot of greens, dip the cornbread in the liquor. Stew, gumbo, soup - anything like that. Or you could make dressing and serve it as your side. You could also freeze it and use it for your thanksgiving dressing ... it's very useful stuff!!!
