What is mesquite powder?
Kristy is an expert at making things pretty and a former Associate Editor of Food52.
It's a power that is ground from the seed pods of the mesquite plant. It has a sweet, nutty flavor and can be used in baking or smoothies. I'm sure there are other uses for it, too.
I have made chocolate chip cookies with this and it makes them delicious! A cinnamony flavor. There is a recipe for the Mesquite Chocolate Chip Cookies at 101 Cookbooks online.
