Powdered Sugar

I keep my powdered sugar in my spice cabinet, and I can taste chili powder (very faintly) in my frostings when I make them. Is there anything that I can put into my powdered sugar jar that would absorb that flavor?

Because both the powdered sugar and the particulate matter of the chili powder are both so fine and dry, it is hard to imagine any product that would both remove the odor and leave the sugar usable.
For futures:
1) if the taste is unpleasnat, discard this batch of sugar.
2) if taste ok, use in savory dishes or to ice chocolate cakes.
3) store new sugar in another place, tightly covered.
