Any recommendations for where to buy a high quality chocolate advent calendar?

i know this is supposed to be a food site, but why not make your own! :) get a nice bit of wrapping paper, put it over a slab o' cardboard to back a pretty backing. glue little matchboxes or other small containers in a grid. write a number on each box with paint pen. tuck a piece of chocolate in each matchbox. you can put any chocolate in there that way... i highly recommend http://www.vosgeschocolate.com/product/woolloomooloo_exotic_candy_bar (a bit pricey, but really awesome)

I saw a Divine Chocolate one at Whole Foods in Toronto, their chocolate is fair-trade and super-delicious in bar form so that might mean the advent version is too. My son has been given a Lindt chocolate one from my mom, I saw them in Canada at The Bay.

I am pretty sure I saw advent calendars at Whole Foods, you could call first? I get ones at Trader Joe's for 99 cents. Not my kind of chocolate but my kids like them ;)

Hershey's makes an advent calendar, I guess you could not call it high quality but its not bad and I enjoy Hershey's chocolate:

Cost Plus has a huge variety of ones from all different countries. I can't personally attest to the quality of the chocolate. I've always preferred getting a reusable advent calendar and putting my own candy and treats in each year. One
neat idea I saw this year was to hang a cupcake tin with ribbon, put a treat in each cavity, and cover each with Christmas gift wrap.

The reuseable one sounds like a great idea. Now where do you get that? I was thinking to get my Father one with a scratcher lotto licket in it everyday , he has early alsheimers, and I know he'd get a kick out of it.

I don't have a specific reccomendation for you, bút perhaps you could try looking for monasteries that specialize in making chocolates. Some of them make nice artisanal chocolates and might even be willing to take a special order. There should be online marketplaces of sorts that are specifically dedicated to selling monastery goods (many edible as well as some crafts too), though it's been awhile since I've come across one and can't point you to one directly.
