why do my cookies bake flat ?

What's the recipe? It probably has something to do with the fat to flour ratio or the leavening (baking powder and soda). If you want chubby cookies, try this recipe: http://food52.com/recipes...

I find if the butter is too soft or melting when I make cookies, they will flatten out when baked, even if the recipe usually makes plump cookies.
