Staub’s cast iron cookware is legendary—made in France, it’s known for a superior cooking surface, remarkable durability, and timeless beauty.
The rough texture of the cast iron interior results in exceptional browning—(those crunchy almost-burnt bits are where all the flavor hides!) Add exceptional heat retention, food that is more evenly cooked, and the ability to use it on the stove or in the oven, and you’ll understand why cast iron is a go-to for us. Staub’s signature enamel coating is highly resistant to both chips and discoloration, and gleams in grenadine, blue, or graphite. The matte black retains the look of the interior on the outside, for an understated, industrial beauty.

Meet the Maker
It's hard to look at the French company's picturesque cast iron and ceramic wares and not daydream about the *magnifique* things you'll make in them. Staub specializes in enameled cast iron cookware made in Alsace, which makes for superior browning and heat retention (perfect for those hours-long braises). The pieces work hard, but they’re pretty enough to go straight from stovetop/oven to the table. They take on a variety of shapes and colors, but we're partial to the cocottes with a deep blue hue and brass knobs exclusive to our Shop.View Full Profile
