Light of my life.
Heads up: This one emits a high-pitched sound that some with extra-sensitive ears can hear.

The USB Lighter Company
Los Angeles, California
In 2014, the creators of the USB Lighter Company set out with a mission: to do something about the 350 million disposable lighters find their way into landfills every year. So they created one that doesn’t use butane, delivers up to 300 lights per charge, and is meant to last forever—truly the lighter to end all lighters.

Beautiful Lighter
Gave this as a gift! She really loved how the lighter is able to be recharged and super easy to use! the rose gold is such a great color!
Neat product with some caveats
A useful, beautiful item to have to light fires and candles. Lights wicks, paper, and thin wood pieces quickly and with little fuss. I like it a lot, but I do have some qualms. It emits a fairly high pitch squeal that I can only hope will not be noticeable when I am older. The cap does not open as much as I would like, meaning if you have candles in jars or have tucked kindling in a hard to reach place you may be better off with the wand-shaped lighters. Finally, the device uses micro USB. This feels lazy for a luxury product in 2020. USB-C is only going to get more ubiquitous in the future and it is inconvenient to have this be using micro.
Oh, one last thing: the lights for the battery indicator are blindingly bright when in a dim room.
Parents love it, but kids...
Not so much. This lighter is super cool... it’s overall design ( shape, color, finish ) and function ( how awesome is it to ditch the matches??? ) is 100% parent approved. The only drawback, is that it produces a very high-pitched, irritating sound that is driving our kids crazy. My husband was using the lighter to light a candle, while we had music playing in the living room our son was about 20 feet away in our entry and shouted, “Dad, stop! That’s hurting my ears!!!” I’d heard that kids have a wider range of sounds they can hear, but wow! this lighter is like a crazy science experiment. My husband and I can’t hear the sound, and our 10 & 12-year olds describe the noise as a high-pitched scream!!! 😱 Not sure what aspect of the lighter is producing this sound, but, won’t be using this when the kids are anywhere nearby.
