Each and every one comes from Wonki Ware pottery studio in South Africa, where it was shaped from locally sourced clay, pressed with lace to give it that pattern you see, left in the sun to dry, and kiln-fired, hand-glazed, and kiln-fired again to finish. (It’s a lengthy process involving 15 different artists—wow.) We haven’t even gotten to the best part, either: Each set comes with four random patterns chosen by the artisans themselves. They really are bowls like none other.
