You've spent most of July outside, grilling everything from flank steak to stone fruit -- but you miss your kitchen. So, you've slowly made your way back inside to prepare simple one-pan dishes that don't require too much time over an open flame. You've even managed to open your oven and pop in a couple pies, tarts, and that slow-roasted pork shoulder you've missed so much.
This isn't to say that you've given up on summer. You're still taking advantage of the season's bounty and highlighting its best ingredients, like basil, mint, tomatoes, zucchini, and peaches. So while you still can, use them up in our community's favorite recipes from the past month, from ice cream to fresh salads. By the time summer ends, you'll know you made the most of it.
