by:
December  4, 2014

For our latest contest, we're partnering with Bob's Red Mill to find the best breakfast baked goods that will make your morning something special.

Today: The results are in -- here are the recipes our community loved from the Your Best Breakfast Baked Good contest!

Once again, we want to give a big thanks to all of our volunteer recipe testers for your thoughtful comments and for helping us continue to strengthen our recipe recommendations. You can read the winning headnote and tester's comments by clicking through to the Community Picks recipes — the comments are at the top. And even if the recipe you tested wasn't chosen as a CP, please feel free to leave your testing notes in the recipe's comments section. Constructive criticism is always encouraged!

Congrats to all the CP noddees! and thanks also to chef Lisa for taking the time to test my recipe ("Potted Parkin...")! PS We tried the Welsh Cakes, Donna, they were fantastic).

creamtea, that Potted Parkin looks so good - I would have tested it, had my life been just a bit less crazy -- I will certainly be making a batch when the boys are both home (hooray!) in a few weeks. ;o)

I hope you try it AJ; it's a miracle we all made it through last week! I was thinking of you on your yearly Thanksgiving morning hike :)

We took a bunch of my CP earning savory biscuits with us for our second breakfast, eaten at the trailhead. They went over well! I'd been training for this hike for a while; it was easier than I expected. Best thing about an ambitious hike on T-Day is that you work up a great appetite for dinner. I definitely recommend it! ;o) P.S. Our theme for the holiday week's food was "restraint," which turned out to be a marvelous idea, and one I'll embrace in the future as well.

Definitely plan to make the Singin' Hinnies, as well. Have had my eye on a recipe from an old book of British cookery for a while. Looking forward to trying the recipe here. ;o)
