As editors, we live and breathe Food52. We’re in it every day: perusing the new articles, shooting the new recipes -- we’re cooking and writing and editing. So you’d think we’d be immune to our own photos by now -- or at least used to them.
We’re not. We still walk into the studio and gape at what another editor has styled; we ooohh and we ahhh; and when we’re tasked with coming up with a list of some of our favorites from the past year, we spend a week looking through the photo archives, falling in love with these photos all over again.
Here, then, are the ones that speak to us -- but the list goes on and on. And while we’d love to take all the credit, we’d be remiss not to call out the wonderful photographers who contributed to this list: James Ransom, Mark Weinberg, and Eric Moran. Take a look, then let us know your favorites in the comments. We could do this all day.
I have a thing for most foods topped with a fried egg, a strange disdain for overly soupy tomato sauce, and I can never make it home without ripping off the end of a newly-bought baguette. I like spoons very much.
