Spaghetti can be dressed elegantly in butter-braised onions, stand up to a subtantial bolognese or meatball sauce, and get down with nothing but a slick of Pecorino and pepper. It's the little black dress of dinner choices. What are you waiting for?

Make one or all 11 of these spaghetti recipes and you'll be in good company—especially if you sprinkle on a little cheese.

My homemade Ratatoiulle over Pasta. I omit the peppers, using lots of Mushrooms & sometimes Celery, some shredded carrot for sweetness. Splash of lemon too at end of cooking. Works hot or cold, over baked, potatoes, w/ stock as a veg soup. OR along side fish or chicken, can't go wrong.

Fried speghetti. Fry cooked pasta in bacon grease or your favorite oil along with sauteed onions until slightly brown. Eat and enjoy. I thought this recipe sounded very plane until my husband said try it once. I have this for dinner about once a month now. Great when you haven't gone to the market in awhile.

Slow simmer slivers of garlic and chili flakes. Toss in shrimp for a quick salute. Add pasta. Yum.
