10 Dinners to Make Whether or Not You Care About Valentine's Day

February  5, 2016

Not everyone will have a somebody this Valentine’s Day. But that’s okay: Years of Galentine's Days and feel-good films have taught us that it’s totally fine, and sometimes preferable, to be by ourselves.

It can still be tempting to fall into a “woe is me” mindset, especially as restaurants start to advertise special Valentine's Day dinner menus and suggestions for what to cook your sweetheart seem to flood your inbox. But just because you may be alone this February 14th doesn’t mean your Sunday dinner should be automatically relegated to a pint of ice cream and a glass of wine (not that there’s anything wrong with that). Cooking yourself a nice meal can be the perfect way to treat-yo-self if you're feeling down, or simply round out a day as ordinary as any other (and, you'll get all the leftovers!). Here are 10 great meals you should be making for yourself whether or not you care about this Hallmark-heavy holiday.

Tell us about your best ever solo V-Day in the comments. Bonus points if you include the menu.
