Spent the weekend in a cabin outside of Woodstock, New York, which featured a wholly haphazard floorplan, lofted bedrooms, and 3 different treatments to the wood walls: an ashy stain, raw knotty pine, and whitewashing. Lots going on, but it all worked. —Amanda S.

My plantasies came true this weekend at Saipua's plant sale in Red Hook. This beautiful being was not for sale, but we did score a monumentally potted rubber plant and another tiny thing whose nickname is "copper spoons." —Sam

I know the Saugerties Light house and it is indeed a special place. There are but 2 ways to get there-------1/2 mile hike from the parking lot when the tide is low or by boat.
