The recipe calls for 8 strips of bacon and 8 breast halves. Then says to wrap 2 strips of bacon around each piece of chicken. That's 16 strips of bacon.

Sorry, I saw this pop up on home page of Food52 on April 4 so was not thinking of April Fool's. So I was immediately kind of irked by it, because it wasn't that clear that this was not a real recipe; one has to see many recipe videos I guess to get the joke. So I hope the site does some real recipes in the future that concentrate on the recipes and not cuteness/humor. Sorry to be a wet blanket. I love love love what you all, do but maybe stretching too thin w/ things like this.

Kristen, you're awesome and the video is the best I've seen so far - humour, realistic, simple. Purely genius, I loved it. And now we all want more :).

Not sure if I would ever attempt this but this video is adorable! Happy creating and feasting in the nest.

April Fool's aside, I have to chime in with the other folks commenting that videos with no text accompanying it drives me up the wall. It takes decidedly less time to skim a recipe than to sit through a video. Assuming I like what I see in the video enough to want to make it, no accompanying text means I have to re-watch the video and take notes, which makes me throw the towel in and go look for something old-fashioned (i.e. in print) to make instead. Cute video, but please let it just be for entertainment, not a new delivery method for recipes.

Cute video, but I like to download the recipes - written out. Please don't stop doing that!

So, I don't want to complain. I love this site. One of my faves. However, unless I missed something....well, I was trying to find an actual recipe because I save them in my own Word recipe file. So, you asked about video feedback. I really don't pay any attention to the videos. Don't need them. Just want recipe. However, if you do the video, could you include the recipe as well? On this one, it took me a while to find a complete recipe. I wing it all the time, but sometimes I need some actual facts when I get off track. Hence, nice to have basic information in my recipe file. Thanks for everything.

There are all manner of cues in the video that indicate it's an April Fool joke, but the underlying question about the video is not. I agree with HDiffenbaugh that this is the wave of the future, and I don't like it!

The guac is perfect. Just eat it with pounded chicken breast stuffed jalafuego peppers wrapped in bacon. Too much oil involved in that extra step. Room temp guacamole is the best.
