Here's a short, non-exhaustive list of why you should make bean dip:
- It's easy.
- It's fancy enough for your highbrow Oscar's party, but not-so-fancy it seems out of place next to wings and pizza at your Superbowl extravaganza. (Pizza and hummus? There are much weirder things, I am sure.)
- They're called the musical fruit, but I like to call them the magical fruit because they're delicious, straight from the can. You don't have to do much to 'em. Except, of course, in this instance, make dip.
- If all else fails and/or you get caught up in the game, add some dippers and call the dip dinner. Hey, there's protein!
