I don’t know about you, but I’m done with cold noses and chapped fingers. Tired of stuffing myself into coats and slurping soup to keep warm. My family in Louisiana tells me about about azaleas bursting with blooms and tender asparagus popping up in the farmers market. They’re rolling in spring onions and green garlic, while I’m here dreaming of peas and fiddleheads.

With another nor’easter knocking on our door, it seems New York has a ways to go until buds peep out of dark earth and trees don their season’s finest—but today (yes, today!) marks the beginning of spring.
