I think this article has a wonderful assortment of cookies but what I can never understand is how they can all be put into a box and served together. If its for a last minute display then ok.
Soft cookies make the crispy ones soft and some flavors are are too strong that others. I make many different cookies every holiday season and keep them stored separately in sealed flat containers.
Then I wrap them separately in cello bags to give as gifts. Tonite I went to a party and made a big platter of about 10 different cookies for a dessert buffet.
I separated them into white paper muffin liners right before I left. And then I covered the whole platter very well. By the end of the night the pizzelle was not crispy and the anise cookies made the chocolate coated ones taste like anise. Shortbread was good but not like the ones stored at home in a sealed container. So although the box with the segments looks good I don't think its practical imho. Any suggestions?

Well, I'd suggest that people pay attention to your post, you seem to have a good understanding of the situation. Anyway, don't think much of the box; apart from the crude construction, the odds of the partitions actually matching up well with your cookies don't seem particularly good.

This seems to be what Food52 has come to- 13 recipes and readers are mostly interested in the box in the picture; an apparently rather crude construction featuring raw plywood edges.

The pic catches the eye and draws one to the article; purpose fulfilled! And it's probably a shadow box sold as a DYI

Many are asking about the cookie box. Etsy has a variety of them to choose from! I just went and looked. some wanted a box full of cookies--that is possible also!

I made the latke cookies. They are strangely addictive- just like potato chips. Made them for a Chanukah party and used sweetened condensed coconut milk to make them dairy free. Only 3 of 8 people game them a thumbs up (me included) but the one guys who doesn’t really like sweets loved them!

I’ve seen them at Michael’s. You could also get a larger box and “section” it with cupcake liners or other baked good liners. :-)
