Believe it or not, the holidays are just around the corner.
Yes, the season brings with it turkey, stuffing, piles of cookies and pumpkin pies, but holidays are also about giving. Community giving.
Since we believe that giving back is best done through food -- and we have a feeling you do, too -- we want to give the Food52 community an opportunity to give back to their own communities.
Today we're opening up submissions for the Whole Foods Market Holiday Big Feast: any Big Feast idea centered around community giving. Here's the kicker: Whole Foods will sponsor it. The winning pitch will get $1500 in Whole Foods Market gift cards to purchase the groceries for their feast.
To enter:
• Submit your feast idea (it should feed at least 10 people), plus ideas for 2 supplementary posts (check out some of our past Big Feasts for inspiration) and 2 photography samples, by November 9th by emailing us at [email protected].
• We'll pick a winner the following week and let you know if you've been chosen.
• If you're selected, we'll send you the gift cards, and your 3 posts will be due by December 7th.
• We'll publish this very special Big Feast the week of December 17th.
