The challenge, thrown down by Food52er AntoniaJames: Pair Food52 recipes with products from Provisions for extra-thoughtful holiday gift giving this year. We whittled down 5 favorites and are announcing them every day this week, to help inspire your own.

Today, we present our third winner, hardlikearmour. She's giving the gift of cocktail nibbles -- some homemade, some from favorite producers -- plus a handsome board to serve them on. Just add booze and you've got a full-on cocktail party in a box. Even better, hardlikearmour notes that the quantities can make gifts for up to three people -- a fine way to multitask, if you ask us.

First, the recipes:

Sage-Candied Walnuts by cristinasciarra

Pickled Prunes by hardlikearmour

Plus, a wedge of cheese and Amanda Hesser's Carta Musica semolina crackers.

For packaging, the nuts and prunes are served in these 8-ounce Weck Jars, accompanied by Olympic Provisions sausage, José Andrés olives, and for "extra-special giftees," says hardlikearmour, "I would include a live-edge reclaimed wood serving and cutting board to serve the goodies on."

Bon appetit!

I love candied walnuts. My mother made a huge batch every Christmas and I ate my share and more.
