do i need to defrost frozen cranberries (that i purchased fresh) before baking them in cake?

Hi! I bought fresh cranberries 2 weeks ago + froze them. I'd like to use them to bake a cake (NOW) -- do I need to defrost them first? If so, how long does that take?

I have not baked a cake with frozen cranberry (sounds delish) but I wonder if the berries with get soggy like thawed blueberries. Maybe take a handful out of the freezer, thaw, and see how firm or wet they become, then proceed accordingly.

Nope! Just toss them into the dry ingredients.
