Does champagne age like wine or go bad like beer? How long can you keep an unopened bottle??

I've had unopened bottles of Champagne in my fridge for a year or two, and they're still good when I open them! Most sparkling wine is not really meant to age once you've bought it, but decent quality Champagne will last a few years if kept in a cool, dark place.
